More Church Images

Some more images of the churches in the old city of Madrid:






This old bell tower is said to be in its original, unaltered form since the 14th century.  Originally Moorish, it later had a Christian church added to it.  It also has leaned slightly to one side for centuries.



While Chris and I were out yesterday, Chris observed that "demasiado" (too much) doesn't only apply to church altar ornamentation.  We found it in the bar where we stopped in for lunch.  If one elaborate sconce looks good, then four will look ¡Fantastico!  And just the right scale for the painting too ...

While we were up there looking at the panoramic views of Madrid, I looked down at the rooftops below and saw this little slice of Haight-Ashbury ...









And dig this crazy parking garage ramp ... g r o o v y   baby !
